What's Next?

Emotional overload from the devastation of Helene in Western North Carolina has somewhat reached a place of equilibrium.  Rescue is last week's catch phrase.  Recovery is now the name of the game.  Rebuilding becomes the new normal.

And then comes Milton.  We have yet to see how this hurricane will impact the state of Florida, but with loved ones there, I for one have found my attention shifting to what potential disaster is on the horizon for this region.  So we are sitting, nearly glued, in front of our screens, intently watching, as we wait.

And as all eyes are on the storms, what else is going on in our lives, our communities and our world that could equally impact our existence and the existence of those we love?  We're just sitting in the next calm before the storm.  

Please, let's not forget to keep our eyes open.  Please be ready for what's next.
