Trolls and Telos
Three minutes on my rebounder with Midnight City is all it takes to shift me out of my blah coffee coma and into some sort of productivity for the day. Well, it gets me to sit down at my computer and start writing something anyway.
Yes, even though I dream of the New Golden Age and long to reconnect with my friends in the alleged mythical city of Telos, I still have to get some shit done "here" to move this ascension needle forward on the storyline of my life. It's the precarious balancing act that we are having to perform right now. It just is what it is. It's kind of exhilarating actually, especially when you spend a few minutes on a rebounder listening to Midnight City on loop. Am I repeating myself? Oops!
So why in the world did I get on this platform today? Why am I here? I thought this sounded like a GREAT title for a blog post a few days ago, today I'm not sure I 100% remember why. I do have a clue though. Can you say, "let's paint the sky with rainbows?"
The sun is shining in on me like a kiss from the divine, sending reassurance that this is something meaningful, it is something that needs to be put into the ethers. What becomes of it is of little consequence, unless it isn't. Maybe this post means EVERYTHING. That is the world we live in. Will it or won't it? Everyone wants to know. And there is this nervous energy in the air just waiting for some kind of ball to drop, because... well because that's the only way people will KNOW.
Before sitting down to write today, I thought I would proceed by enlightening you with some facts and theories on Telos, the ancient secret city hidden under the peaks of California's Mt. Shasta inhabited by a race of spiritually and technologically advanced off-worlders. Lily Nova has had contact with these beings from Telos, BTW.
But I took my didactic robe off yesterday and I'm sitting here undressed saying, nope, don't do it. You are a relatively technically advanced being and you can do an internet search on this and learn as much as I could tell you since I myself have not had personal contact with these beings. There's always tomorrow though...
I think it is a better use of my time to just reflect on the other definition of telos that I stumbled upon in my google search:
Telos is an ancient Greek term that refers to the end, fulfilment, completion, goal or aim of a natural organ or entity, or of human art123. It is the root of the modern term teleology, which is the study of purposiveness or of objects with a view to their aims, purposes, or intentions1.
I feel like this is a much more appropriate reflection on the notion of telos as I proceed in wrapping up my journey on this platform. It's perfect actually. It feels very serendipitous. It feels super appropriate. It feels healing. It feels good.
As I shared yesterday, I really feel like my mission here is complete. I have journeyed as far as I can go by myself here. I have shared all that I can. I am ready to move on to new explorations and its cleaner, and clearer that it is time to wrap this up and begin again with something new.
Thank GOD I am the champion of new beginnings. I am the heroine of starting over. And this time I don't feel bad about it. I have come to the complete understanding that rebirth is all part of the greater cycle of life. It is natural. It is actually VERY good. I'm ready to go. I'm ready to get born again, again.
I love the excitement of a new adventure! I love the possibilities. I love the hope and the process of dreaming and discovering a whole new "reality". It is definitely the discovery of a whole new world. It's fun. It's scintillating. It's my jam.
So where do the trolls come in? Have you been wondering? Well, there might be some coming to light, that have been lurking around, along with some fairies and gnomes and elves...it tis the season, you know. But that's not really the troll that inspired me to this title.
It was a little bit of warning from my buddy Steve of the possibility of somebody trolling somebody somewhere, you know how specific these predictions can be...it's scary right? Or not. It all means something to everyone, right? Unless it doesn't. But I do certainly take it to heart, as a poster of information, much quite personal and heartfelt, that gets views, sometimes a significant number of views, much to my surprise, and I just wonder how many "views" are bots, or something besides a real human being. (In which case the construction of the preceding sentence will not have bothered you in the slightest.)
With the total lack of engagement, with no likes and no comments, I just wonder if these beloved viewers actually enjoy my content or if they are just trolling me, like a trained little puppy that is looking for its little dopamine treat. It's just a thought, but an honest one. It helps me understand how to shape my social media approach in the future.
And now that I am transitioning into more deliberate studies in Alchemy, I took the liberty of drawing a couple of random cards from my Wild Unknown Alchemy Deck. It's gorgeous and although I have been using it from time to time over the past 2 years, I am excited to get into it more deeply going forward with my new plan of action. Please consider this as a learning experiment with me. I am not trying to teach you anything. I'm still naked here. Are we clear? Ok.
The two cards I drew today are as follows:
#1 - The Uncreated - (The Unconceived, The Seed of the Seed) - "There was a time when everyone you know was not yet born, when every city was yet to be named, when your favorite song was yet to be sung. Such is the energy of Increatum. This card indicates the subtle but profound force that summons all that will be into existence. This most sacred of formulas cannot be manufactured, contained, bought or sold. It is the pure intelligence of creation pulsing at the door of reality. It's timing is precise, and IT IS HAPPENING NOW. Do not delay. Send an invitation to the Uncreated. Allow it to formulate and gestate. Soon a sketch, a map, or a name will draw itself upon your mind. Envision and believe. The architecture of the future is within you. All ground is fertile, life begets life.
#2 - Smoke - (Smoldering, Warning, Illusion) - Smoke is a tantalizing phenomenon. Stealth-like and seductive, it swirls and twists, rising and disappearing. It travels great lengths with its signature scent, warning of a flame somewhere in Life's laboratory. Such is the nature of the smoke card. When present, the senses are aroused and enticed, yet the warning of fire cannot be ignored. What kind of smoke is it? Was the fire intended? Was it an accident? Does the smoke carry notes of incense and herbs, or is it laced with the fear-stricken scent of destruction? The smoke card asks us to wake up, to become alert to what is happening around us. Something burns. Those around you may fall under smoke's seduction, or they may flee in panic. Don't get distracted by their response. Stay in your own laboratory and see what emerges as you study the smoldering veil.
And so it goes for The Art of Zinnia's Way, a few minutes on the rebounder, a few loops of M83, a few hours of writing make me feel GOOD! Showing up here has helped keep me grounded. It has helped me process not a few complicated thoughts on dozens of outrageous topics. It has helped me become a stronger woman and a better human being; I believe.
And my deepest thanks to all the trolls and bots and if there are any human beings out there, I sincerely thank you too. And just for you, I will leave you with one more song from my daily playlist. It may or may not go along with Trolls and Telos, but it definitely goes along for you.
Michael Franti from his Follow Your Heart album:
It's why I've been here and its why I am sure that I will be building something bigger, something brighter and something even better in the days to come. Thanks so much again for being part of this little blog that was.
I will still be here for a few more days. I have a few more posts in me that are begging to come out. No trolling you here.
Hopefully you will enjoy them. Hopefully they will set you up for a very happy holiday season filled with beautiful ideas, inspirations and dreams come true. Here's to Telos and glorious new beginnings in the days to come!
