Life Is Short - Dance While You Can
While listening to my daily discovery, yes, kids songs again, something inside just told me to dance, in the sunshine, so I did.
Scrolling around I came upon the story of Russell, a man younger than me who didn't make it home from his vacation to the Rocky Mountains. This struck me, because I have chosen the Rocky Mountains for my August Adventure with my dog Margeaux this year, if I can get a work around with the schedule of my new little job, where I decorate with flowers, construct Wonderlands and build rabbit holes and decorate for Galas and other such things. It's a creative little job and I quite enjoy it, except for someone else having a say so in what I do with my time. That said, I am grateful that this little job has helped me become a better early riser, Lord knows I wasn't doing on my own.
And I am getting time off to go to skydiving in July and hopefully a week off in August will be able to be negotiated too. My trip to Acadia with Margeaux last year was so meaningful. It stretched me and built me and Margeaux, who is 10 now, absolutely loved it!
And poor Russell is a reminder to me that I really need to make all my moments count, especially those with Margeaux and those with myself too.
And I have been applying my lessons in letting go today. Just sitting with my feelings, being present with them and really just letting them be...in the moment.
So when my feeling says "Dance!" I dance. When it says "Go." I say, Ok, I'm listening. We'll see what comes of it.
And as the weekend goes into full swing I wanted to share my music playlist, for FUN, because I feel like I am getting lots of messages about fun. Now I get the chance to surrender to them, if I choose. The least I can do is dance, because, well, you just never know.
Happy Saturday!! Live your best life today. Don't miss it! ✴️💜✴️
