A Philosophy of Winter - The 12 Days of Nietzsche
This summer, the summer of 2022, I stumbled across an online Philosophy course that changed my life. The course covered, Reid and Hume and Mill, but the Philosopher who spoke most truly to my quintessential artist's heart was Nietzsche.
To say I was inspired is an understatement. I was aglow. I was empowered. I was reborn.
To the defense of my teacher who tried to teach me well, I, in my summer busyness and haste, took up with a less intellectual process, what I call "Nietzsche for Dummies". This condensed, abbreviated Philosophy can be readily found on YouTube and easily digested through entertaining videos, something I did have time for. The videos educated, entertained and informed.
Nietzsche made me feel brave, creative, powerful and rare. Nietzsche stimulated my soul with Philosophy and Poetry...and Prose. He emboldened me to take the narrow path towards a truly Authentic Life.
Nonetheless, I credit my Teacher for the Real inspiration behind all the summer's philosophical rhetoric. To this faithful and devoted soul, I dedicate, with gratitude, this little Winter Reverie...The 12 Days of Nietzsche. Let us begin today...
